09/02/2010 03:00pm -- Many of the Hollywood celebrities who were victimized in a rash of break-ins from 2008 to 2009 told a Los Angeles grand jury that they were careless with their security, and often failed to set their home security systems or even lock their front doors, according to unsealed testimony obtained by the Associated Press.

In their testimony, multiple stars said that the robberies had frightened them, and taken away their feelings of safety. Afterwards, many said that they were now taking much greater precautions in terms of their home security systems.

"We have always sort of lived a very, I guess, trusting lifestyle and we just didn't set the alarm," actress Rachel Bilson told the court. "I now do, every time I leave the house. Even if it's for 20 minutes."

The AP says that at this point, officers say that at least $2 million worth of property from the crimes has not been recovered.

To this point, six members of the ring blamed for most of the crimes have been charged. One has pled guilty and served time in prison, while the rest are still awaiting trial.ADNFCR-3514-ID-19935167-ADNFCR
