01/25/2012 03:00pm -- A recent home invasion in Spokane, Washington, turned violent.

Spokane Police responded to a home invasion on January 22 at around 8:30 p.m., after a woman reported that intruders had broken into her apartment and hogtied her and her roommate.

According to the 911 call, the men fired a gun in the apartment and there was blood seen on the floor, but the police didn't find a gunshot victim when they arrived at the scene of the crime. The victims said they were attacked by four or five black males, but could not provide more specific descriptions because their attackers wore bandanas over their faces.

Area hospitals were asked to call the police if a victim of a gunshot wound showed up.

Police sent out a K-9 unit to locate the suspects, but none were found.

Spokane reported more than 2,800 burglaries in 2010, according to FBI statistics.
