Robbers' getaway caught on tape

Police are searching for three suspects in connection with a recent Los Angeles home invasion that resulted in a victim being tied up.

The home invasion occurred on January 9 in the Porter Ranch area, at around 2:35 p.m. The suspects broke into the home and confronted one of the residents, tying the victim up before they ransacked the home and took jewelry.

Surveillance video captured two suspects leaving the home after burglarizing the residence and fleeing the scene of the crime in a white Chevrolet Traverse SUV, which was driven by the third suspect.

After reporting to the scene of the crime, police concluded that the suspects were also involved with a different home invasion in the area, according to Los Angeles CW affiliate KTLA. That break-in occurred in the Downey area.

Los Angeles reported more than 17,000 burglaries in 2010, according to FBI statistics.
