A recent Tulsa, Oklahoma, home invasion has led to an arrest.
The victim heard the two intruders trying to force their way into her house soon after midnight and hid in the bathroom, calling police before they could get to her.
The police arrived, and the two suspects fled the scene through neighboring yards.
One of the suspects, Abraham Simmers of Glenpool, was caught just blocks away from the scene of the crime and was arrested. Police said Simmers was intoxicated and they later booked him at a Tulsa County Jail for complaints of first-degree burglary, public intoxication and interfering with an emergency call.
Simmers' bail was set at $40,600, according to the Tulsa World. Simmers was just released from jail after serving eight years for possession of a stolen vehicle, driving under the influence and possession of a dangerous controlled substance.
This was the second home invasion occurring in Tulsa in a week. According to Tulsa's local Fox News affiliate, an invasion occurred in the early morning of October 17, with three to five young men breaking into a home and taking laptops, cellphones and money before fleeing the scene in a stolen Jeep Cherokee.
