A suspect was recently arrested in connection with a Burlington, North Carolina, home invasion that resulted in violence, local news source the Times News reported.
The 24-year-old suspect, James Bolds, was arrested for his alleged involvement with a January 21 home invasion. Two other suspects remain on the loose. Bolds was charged with common law robbery and second-degree kidnapping.
Authorities were called to the scene of the crime around 6:57 p.m. on January 21, and the victim told investigators that three men forced their way into his home and stole his money and personal belongings.
According to the victim, one of the suspects was armed with a stun gun and attempted to use it on him, before the victim fell to the ground and was held there by one of the suspects.
The three men fled the scene of the crime in a dark-colored, four-door vehicle.
In the nearby town of Fayetteville, police are holding a security clinic to help residents better secure their homes with alarm systems, the Fayetteville Observer reported. The town has seen burglaries surge recently.
