Thieves target restaurant patrons' vehicles

While eating at a restaurant in Radnor, Pennsylvania, some diners' vehicles were being broken into, according to ABC News in Philadelphia.

The news station reports five cars were broken into, adding to a rash of burglaries in the area. Despite the city's low crime rate, Radnor Township police officer Andy Block told the source town members are being put on alert for suspicious activity so they can find the culprits.

"We believe that they do have some experience and that they are also carefully picking their locations. The timing is also very, very suspect, because they are happening between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. during that dinner hour, when people are out," Block told the news source.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports laptops, cash and iPods have been stolen in many cars parked in restaurants and shopping plazas in Radnor this year.

With the possibility some burglars may steal a car instead of just the valuables inside of one, GPS tracking devices, such as ones sold by Protect America, can allow car owners to feel more at ease leaving their car parked wherever they may travel.
