June 06, 2007 (Deland, FL) – DELAND -- -A 15-year-old girl fought off a masked attacker who sneaked into her South High Street home Sunday night, sheriff's officials said.
The girl was home alone, she said, when the man forced his way through a back door and grabbed her by the neck, officials said.
The girl managed to bolt from the man, who she said had a gun in his waistband.
The girl said her attacker was wearing a black, hooded sweat shirt and black gloves.
