• Man faces sex abuse, burglary charges

July 24, 2007 (Asheville, NC) – Buncombe County Sheriff’s deputies Monday arrested a man on multiple charges, including attempted sexual abuse and burglary.

William Everette Hopson, 25, is charged with attempted second-degree sexual abuse and first-degree burglary stemming from incidents dated Jan. 8, 2004, warrants show. He also faces several charges for allegedly writing bad checks at area businesses, mostly dated from July 2003, according to warrants.

Warrants list Leicester and Chuckey, Tenn., addresses for Hopson. Bond was set at $80,000 on the sex abuse and burglary charges.
