  • 1 killed, 2 injured in home invasion

September 10, 2007 (Fort Worth, TX) – Police are searching for two men who killed a 43-year-old man and injured two other people in an early Sunday invasion of an east Fort Worth home.

The two masked men, one carrying a handgun and the other a long-barreled gun, kicked in the front door at 4:20 a.m., police said.

One gunman shot the 43-year-old man in the chest near the front entry of the home, in the 2500 block of Tierney Road.

The shooting victim died at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital.

The other suspect assaulted a 26-year-old man, who was treated for a head laceration, and a 26-year-old woman, who was treated for injuries at the scene.

Police had not released any of the victims' names Sunday evening and were searching for a motive and the invaders, who fled the residence.
