  • Man hurt in armed home invasion, South Middleton Township

October 24, 2007 (South Middleton Township, PA) – One person was injured and another threatened with death during an armed home invasion in South Middleton Township Tuesday night, according to state police at Carlisle.

Police say they responded to an address in the 600 block of Holly Pike on a report of an armed robbery between 8:45 and 9 p.m. A man and a woman whose names police are withholding to protect their identity were home at the time, police said.

Two unknown men, described only as black males in the early to mid-20s, rang the bell and then entered forcibly when the resident answered the door, police say. The suspects pistol-whipped the man with a handgun as they did so, police add.

The assailants also threatened to kill the woman, police say.

Personal property and cash were stolen from the home, police say. No further information was available by press time.
