It’s not too late to get into your spring cleaning! We thought we’d share our spring cleaning checklist with you today. Feel free to print it out to cross things out as you go through your house!

Bedrooms

  • Dust furniture.
  • Remove items from drawers, wash the drawer, and neatly place items back.
  • Move the bed. Clean and sort everything under the bed. Vacuum under the bed.
  • Launder curtains.
  • Dust lights and clean lamp shades.
  • Wash windows and window sills.
  • Wash mirrors and dust art.
  • Wash doors and doorknobs.
  • Clean blades of ceiling fans.
  • Replace or wash pillows.
  • Go through closets and switch out seasonal clothing.

Bathrooms

  • Empty all cabinets and vanities. Wash inside and replace items neatly.
  • Throw out expired medications and cosmetics.
  • Wash the outside of cabinets and vanities.
  • Clean mirror.
  • Clean toilet.
  • Clean shower.
  • Wash shower curtain and liner.
  • Wash bath mats.
  • Clean countertop.
  • Polish
  • Dust light fixtures.
  • Sweep and wash floors.
  • Reseal grout lines if necessary.

Kitchen

  • Remove items from each cabinet or drawer and clean the insides.
  • Wash and sanitize cutting boards.
  • Sharpen knives.
  • Wash cabinet doors and knobs.
  • Clean and organize pantry.
  • Clean oven.
  • Clean stove top.
  • Clean and organize fridge and freezer.
  • Defrost freezer.
  • Change water filter in the fridge.
  • Throw out expired food.
  • Discard old spices.
  • Vacuum refrigerator coils.
  • Clean microwave.
  • Clean crumbs out of toaster.
  • Wash counters and backsplash.
  • Dust light fixtures.
  • Wash pantry doors and door knobs.
  • Sweep and wash floor.
  • Reseal grout lines.

Dining Room

  • Wash curtains.
  • Wipe down table and chairs.
  • Dust all furniture.
  • Clean chair pads and covers.
  • Polish table.
  • Dust art.
  • Wash walls and trim.
  • Clean floors.

Living Room

  • Vacuum sofas.
  • Spot clean sofas.
  • Launder pillows and blankets.
  • Dust shelves
  • Clean lamps and lampshades.
  • Wash windows and window sills.
  • Vacuum curtains and dust blinds.
  • Replace batteries in smoke detectors.
  • Clean television screen.
  • Carefully dust electronics.
  • Sort books and magazines.
  • Wash children’s toys.
  • Wash doors and knobs.
  • Clean floors.

Laundry Room

  • Wash cabinet doors.
  • Take everything out of the cabinets and clean the inside.
  • Wash the lint trap with soap and water.
  • Wash walls.
  • Wash sink and clean drains.
  • Wash the outside of the washer and dryer.
  • Clean the inside of the washer.
  • Wash doors and door knobs.
  • Sweep and wash floors.

Outside

  • Sweep porches and walkways.
  • Wash thresholds.
  • Wash exterior doors.
  • Give the front door a fresh coat of paint, if necessary.
  • Clean welcome mat. Store and replace, if seasonal.
  • Wash siding.
