Protect America offers wireless alarm systems for easy set up and convenience. That means there is no hard wiring or really hard labor that needs to be done. The initial alarm set up is done with our experienced home security technicians.

A lot of people tend to get confused between ‘wireless alarm systems’, and cellular alarm systems. Wireless just means that the alarm system does not require hard wiring for the system to be connected. Your sensors are completely wireless and communicate with the alarm system by an RF signal. The sensors carry a battery which typically last about 5 years or so. This all depends on the climate, amount of use, and a few other variables.

The wireless system still has wires that need to be connected from the base. All of our systems will have an electrical power chord to keep the back up battery charged and to stay on. They also may either have a phone line, or Ethernet chord depending on which monitoring you have decided to go with.

A cellular system means that the alarm system communicates using cell phone towers like a cell phone rather than needing a phone line or Ethernet chord. This system only has a power chord for electricity. That’s the only “wire” that it has.

So basically the great benefits of choosing Protect America as your security provider is that all of our systems are wireless in a sense that all sensors do not need to be wired. If you are a renter or ever decide to move you can take the alarm system with you. It’s very easy to set up and take down if ever needed. Also if you ever decided to rearrange any sensors it will never be a hassle. We monitor alarm systems all over the United States, so if you ever move be sure to ask for a free moving that we provide.
